Keeley Construction has partnered with Lizzadro Real Estate, LLC on this adaptive reuse and full renovation of the building located at 1220 Kensington Road in Oak Brook will be the New Home of the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art on the first floor and the Museum Plaza Offices on the second floor.
With the meticulous renovation of this existing building, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is expected to open to the public in Fall of 2019. The renovation includes a new 2-story glass curtain wall entrance for the Museum, lecture and event space, a grand brick paver patio area, fiber optic data, Wi-Fi, and energy efficient LED lighting. The Lizzadro Museum displays more than 200 pieces of jade and other hardstone carvings from around the world, featuring several internationally famous pieces. The Museum anticipates 100 to 150 daily visitors.
