Preferred Freezer Chicago
After building their second Chicagoland location, Preferred Freezer, one of the largest international refrigerated warehousing companies, approached us to assist with their third Chicago facility. For this facility, a unique location was selected—a landfill site dating back to the 1871 Chicago Fire. This building site required ground improvement, including 3,500 deep rigid inclusions to act as building support. Built in Pilsen, within a few miles of their other two facilities, the location offered the accessibility they needed.
